La cantante e compositrice canadese Loreena McKennitt è manager e produttore di se stessa nonché direttrice della propria casa discografica internazionale di successo Quinlan Road. Nel corso di una carriera discografica quasi ventennale, il genere musicale di McKennitt, denominato “eclectic Celtic” (ovvero, celtico eclettico) si è conquistato i favori della critica di tutto il mondo ed ha vinto premi per le vendite d’oro, platino e multi-platino realizzate in quindici paesi sparsi per quattro continenti.
Nata nella provincia del Manitoba, in Canada, Loreena si trasferì a Stratford, in Ontario, Canada nel 1981, dove vive tuttora. McKennitt ha recitato, cantato in e composto musica per rappresentazioni teatrali dello Stratford Festival of Canada come La Tempesta (1982) e Il Mercante di Venezia (2001).
La sua carriera discografica cominciò nel 1985 con l'album Elemental. Il catalogo di Quinlan Road è attualmente distribuito in tutto il mondo dalla The Verve Music Group (negli USA) dalla Universal Music (in Canada ed in altri territori inclusa l'Italia e la Spagna) e da varie case indipendenti, inclusa la Keltia Music (Francia) e la SPV (Germania).
